Customer shopping online

Business Objectives

Make it easier for customers to choose you.

A business website should provide people with the information they need, make the next step obvious, and stay manageable as your business changes.

A Practical Approach

Function and appearance belong together.

Some businesses need an online store. Others need a detailed catalog, appointment scheduling, a photo gallery, or simply a way for people to reach the right person. EZ helps define the correct tools before the design is set in stone.

Farm Service Solutions is an example of a business with large equipment that is not sold through online checkout. Its website gives buyers photos, prices, manufacturer details, and dates so the owner can keep inventory current, and customers can quickly find what fits.

Products and services

Clear pages that show what you do and help visitors understand the value before they call.

When appropriate, we install a shopping cart that meets their exact needs for presenting products for sale.

For the website featured above, since purchases must be made on-site, a shopping cart wasn't useful, so we built a standard product page with much of the same information that would be in a shopping cart.

Useful visuals

Photography, product displays, and information layouts are chosen based on the way customers make decisions.

For the website featured above, the business needed to list two main product categories: farm implements and cattle handling equipment.

Each category needed a scrollable subcategory page for each equipment type with a description and representative photograph.

Finally, each equipment page accommodated a photo gallery showing different views of the equipment.

Owner Control

Training and support so everyday updates do not become a technical obstacle.

For the website featured above, we taught the owner and his family how to manage each piece of equipment for sale and classify it into its category.

The owner uploads all the content, including photographs and sale information.

The website automatically adjusts photo resolution and compresses images for faster rendering.

Made for Real Operations

Start with the customer's question.

Every good project begins by learning what visitors need to do, whether that is to compare a service, understand an offer, find inventory, or contact the owner. Then we build the clearest route through it.

The screenshot below shows a typical page from https://farmservicesolutions featuring a farm implement for sale. The site typically offers multiple photographs taken from several views so customers have a good idea of how the equipment is made and the features it offers.

The website readily accommodates videos that illustrate the operation of the equipment.

This website is almost totally managed by Chris Stutts, the business owner, Custom fields allow Stutts to write a description of the equipment, the name of the tool, the name of the manufacturer, the date acquired, and the asking price. It also can record the date of the sale, the purchaser, the purchaser's information, and the sale amount in fields only visible to Stutts after the sale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Below are common questions about our process.

(Click on each topic to expand the answer.)

Our First Questions

We'll need to know all about your products or services. If you have an existing site, we'll review it to understand your current setup, what works, and where we can improve. This helps us plan a smooth transition or a complete redesign that meets your specific business needs.

Questions You May Ask

The timeline depends on the project scope and your readiness:

  • Redesigns/Refreshes: Under optimum conditions (when you have content ready), we can sometimes launch in just a few days.
  • New Sites: The duration varies based on your availability, how quickly you can provide photographs and product descriptions, the number of items or services, and the complexity of any shopping cart requirements.
  • Testing & Review: We always allocate extra time for performance testing on our end and for you to review the site to ensure all information is accurate before launch.

Questions Often Overlooked

We start every project by asking, "What do your customers need to do?" Whether it's comparing services, finding inventory, or viewing a catalog, we build the clearest route for them. We don't rely on pre-made templates that limit what we can do. Instead, we build from scratch using tools that are exceptionally powerful and easy to configure for almost any need, ensuring the site fits your specific operations.
